Wohin mit radioaktiven Abfällen?
Eine Reportage von Christian Aeberhard.
The Mont Terri project deals with the question of the storage of radioactive waste. Research is carried out in the rock laboratory in the 1200m tunnels and niches and not a deep repository is built. The aim of the project is to evaluate whether the Opalinus Clay could be a suitable host rock for a deep geological repository. 300 meters below the surface of the earth at the height of the Mont Terri motorway tunnel, the scientific facts are compiled for future decisions in the storage debate.
