Tonhalle orchestra at home

Rehearsals in the living room

A free project by Paolo Dutto.

The past year has taught us a lot and has confronted us with a lot of uncertainty. During this time, Paolo Dutto dedicated himself to musicians who were no longer able to exercise their vocation due to the restrictions. Many of us sat in front of a screen and keyboard in the home office. The musicians of the Tonhalle Orchestra rehearsed alone in the living room or basement with their instruments.

We associate an orchestral performance with suits, evening dresses and impressive concert halls, but Paolo Dutto portrayed twelve members of the Tonhalle Orchestra in a different light - no audience, no glamor and no applause, but what it's really about: musicians who love what they do to do.
